We understand that good farm road construction involves more than just creating a few dirt paths and calling it a day. This is why, before we undertake any farm or rural road construction project, the Cole Excavations team will survey the property and consult with the client to determine the best solution for their property or access needs.
On some farms, a central roadway installation will be adequate. On many farms or agricultural properties, however, branching roads leading off the central roadway will be required to service paddocks too far from the central roadway. On wet or intensively stocked farms, a road system that provides good access to all parts of the land is highly important.
Farm roads on properties that experience high foot traffic due to livestock will typically require stronger foundations and surfacing. Drainage is another important factor, and pipelaying will be required at points where a farm road crosses a natural water flow path. Our roads are also built to withstand heavy rainfall and flood conditions.
